Learn essential tips for safely observing this natural phenomenon, understand the science behind it, and gain insights into the history of eclipses and their cultural significance. Whether you’re a seasoned sky-watcher or new to astronomy, this talk will equip you with actionable knowledge for a memorable eclipse-viewing experience. Weather permitting, after the talk Mr. Taylor will provide an in-person guided tour of the night sky via telescope.

Hamptons Observatory Senior Educator, William Francis Taylor, MSc, has been a NASA/JPL Solar System Ambassador since 2014, lecturing about the universe around us and sharing his love of the heavens by giving guided tours of the sky through telescopes. He is a life-long East End resident.

Hamptons Observatory would like to thank South Country Library for its kind collaboration and William Francis Taylor for sharing his expertise.
