Donna L. McCormick
EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Donna L. McCormick received a B.Sc. in psychology from Brooklyn College. For over 16 years, Donna worked at the American Society for Psychical Research (est. 1885) as a research scientist, and also served as Director of Education, newsletter editor, and Administrative Director. Since 1989, she has been Vice President of Scientific Consultant Services, which primarily engages in the development of artificial intelligence (AI) tools and systems. Donna published her early research in scientific journals and, together with co-author and husband, Jeffrey Owen Katz, Ph.D., has written several books for McGraw-Hill, chapters for anthologies, and dozens of magazine articles about trading the financial markets using AI. Donna was elected to the Board of Directors of the Custer Institute and Observatory where she served as Secretary, then as President for five terms. In 2018, she co-founded and became president of Sanguis Corporation, which endeavors to bring innovations to healthcare through technology that non-invasively measures biochemical analytes such as glucose. Since 2016, Donna has been Executive Director of Hamptons Observatory, where she is pleased to continue pursuing a lifelong passion for science.
